To be honest, I never expected metal songs being mentioned in a forum that's about a game series filled with cute girls  :cirnotan:

Clearly there are some aspects of the series (music and gamelpay challenges) that transcend outward appearances. It's just a shame that Touhou metal circles like Demetori or UI-70 aren't very active these days.

Demetori, UI-70, Crow'sClaw, Iron Attack, Thousand Leaves, Undead Corporation, Unlucky Morpheus, 5150 are the big ones. Maybe DbU counts too. I'm probably forgetting something. Either way, explore the above on Youtube, they're all worthy of your attention.

Besides video game soundtracks, I don't really listen to a lot of music from bands but i'll listen to them occasionally. I used to be really into thrash metal but I got bored of it I guess. The only western styled music I've listened to recently has to be Lemon Demon and Tally Hall, but other than that nothing much. I like Yoeko Kurahashi's music a lot too, but I can't find the specific songs I like from her on YouTube sadly.

Your music taste is very good
Both Lemon Demon and Tally Hall(Miracle Musical included) are part of my top 10 artists in general.

Although these songs are not particularly my favourite from them.

Most of my music listening is Touhou official and fangame soundtracks, but when I'm not listening to those it's a loose smattering of obscure cpop and jpop, usually found when one of the cover artists I follow cover them.

Some favorites:


There's a lot more (80s and 90s cantonese pop, other modern cover artists, etc.) but I'm tired of writing and went down a rabbit hole of listening so uhh....yeah lol

A favorite of mine as the time of writing is definetly Singing Under the Rainbow by World's End Girlfriend, by god that song (and album too) are fantastic

I (unfortunately) do not listen to dedicated music albums or singles often. But I do play a lot of video games, and ever since the 90s and 2000s, video games have stepped up their musical chops to the point where some game studios hire dedicated music studios to create songs for their games.
Which brings me to Mili. A Japanese Studio now based in Canada that does music for Anime and Games. Particularly Library of Ruina and Limbus Company.

To Kill a Living Book (For Library of Ruina) has some good pieces. Particularly Iron Lotus. One thing that I like about her songs is even without the context of the game itself you can still feel the emotions the music is trying to amplify.
Another piece from the studio is Compass in Limbus Company.

oh boy, this is hard. i listen to a fair bit of music but i guess if i had to pick one song to share i'd go with
At the Drive-In - Enfilade
really good band that i enjoy a lot, if you enjoy this song i heavily recommend that you check out the rest of this album and their other releases.   :note:

Watched someone play Persona 3 Reload, looked into original a bit, grew quite fond of the music. Waking up to Burn My Dread for quite a few days now.
