I figured that while organization is still underway, it wouldn't hurt in any way to revive the accomplishments threads. Seems like a good way to kickstart the new place. Post your Touhou gaming accomplishments, recent or general. Not just the main shmup series. I think it wouldn't hurt to include spinoffs and various fangames too.
I don't have much: Normal 1ccs of every main game up to Ten Desires, excluding Subterranean Animism, Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream and Highly Responsive to Prayers. Hard 1ccs of Perfect Cherry Blossom and Imperishable Night. Some minor 6-8 scoring attempts. And a clear of Labyrinth of Touhou 2.

It's been a while. The last accomplishments thread was started in 2016.
For those new here, traditionally accomplishments threads started with listing our past accomplishments; after that, they were also a place to post new accomplishments. Every 1000 posts, a new thread would be created, to list past accomplishments again.
And that's a great use of our new spoiler tags.

I used to have a spreadsheet with my achievements on my old hard drive, but that died :( I think I can remember most of my main achievements (vanilla clears) but I also kept track of things like high-fps and no-vertical clears, and I certainly can't remember exactly which of those I got across all the games.
Numbers refer to the number of shot types for each achievement. I've rounded down in all cases and given the least number that I'm absolutely sure I achieved.
EoSD: Normal 1cc (4)
PCB: Normal 1cc (3), Extra clear (1)
IN: Normal 1cc (4), NNB, Extra clear (1), Hard 1cc (2)
MoF: Normal 1cc (3), NNB, Extra clear (3), ExNB, Hard 1cc (2)
Shining Shooting Star: Normal 1cc (4), Extra clear (2), Hard 1cc (1)
HSIFS: Normal 1cc (3), NNB, Extra clear (4), ExNB, Hard 1cc (1) (I didn't count sub-seasons as being separate shot-types)
WB&WC: Normal 1cc (9), Extra clear (8 )

I managed to pull of a lunatic perfect of Keiki! I certainly wasn't expecting this, but it made me very happy.

I should consider taking the time to make a more proper list but for now I will go with the achievements table I also have on my Touhouwiki userpage.

Good chance I'll return with a more proper list somewhere in the future.

I just 1cced my first touhou game on normal! EoSD! :D Not as great as other people on here, but gotta start somewhere right?
-
About 2 weeks ago, I beat Flandre for the first time :)
I really loved Touhou when I was younger but I never had the chance to actually play any of the games. I started playing for the first time a few months ago and I've managed to beat every game (including spinoffs) from Touhou 4 up to Touhou 12 but I've never beaten an Extra Stage boss until now so I am quite proud of myself

Impossible Spell Card No Items 100% clear. I never thought I would accomplish this, but I decided to revisit the infamous 10-4 a couple days ago and discovered I had become skilled enough to handle it! Afterwards, I went ahead and captured the remaining scenes I had yet to do no items - 9-1, 6-5, 10-5, and finally 10-6. At long last, I have become the Ultimate Cheating Lifeform!
Since I did this over the course of 7 years, I don't have any big grand video I could make (I didn't even save most the replays), but here is a video of 10-4 I made, complete with a guide in the description for others seeking to do the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcUJN-BXqx0

Oh, wow, that actually is really neat, congratulations! While playing through the game, I did play a few scenes without using items when it felt like it could be done without some insane strategies, but many of the scenes don't exactly seem to be designed without use of items in mind, so this really does seem like a rather insane achievement.
That being said, I guess it's safe to assume that only use of primary items counts towards this? Meaning that sub items can be used without repercussions to increase damage output, for instance?
Either way, it's great to see that you're still around!
-
I'm nowhere near as capable at shooting games as I might have been a decade or so ago, probably due to various things like eyesight not as good and just in general not having the patience or will to retry shooting game stages over and over again... But I recently 1cc'd Unconnected Marketeers on Hard, which probably wouldn't be that impressive to past-me, but I'm feeling pretty good about it!
-
That being said, I guess it's safe to assume that only use of primary items counts towards this? Meaning that sub items can be used without repercussions to increase damage output, for instance?
It depends on if the sub-item is active or passive, as far as I know? For example:
- The doll that increases shot size is allowed, and is the usual choice for no-item runs
- The yin-yang orb that's supposed to decrease hitbox size is allowed, but I've heard it's bugged and only works for laser hitboxes?
- The tanuki statue that absorbs a hit is not allowed
-
So I've actually got into playing Unconnected Marketeers. When I was last playing the mainline games was when LLK was the most recent.
Anyway, I found out you can unlock more initial card slots by clearing the game on any difficulty. I was struggleing really hard on Normal; hardly able to reach Stage 4 on a 1CC and hardly reaching Chimata with all Continues.
I 1CC'ed Easy on my first try. With a life to spare. With my Keyboard going on the fritz and costing me a life so it really should have been 2 lives to spare.
Wow; there's a MASSIVE difference between UM Easy and UM Normal. I feel UM Normal is a really hard Normal mode, but UM Easy... I was *blind* on Chimata and still beat everything but her final two spells without bombing or dying; and perfected the Stage 4 boss.
Is that just me, or is there really such a huge gulf between UM Easy and UM Normal?
Also; feels weird to unlock Extra with Easy Clear.
I guess I can add UM Easy to my 1CC list. I mean, it's more than I an say for UFO/SA/LLK.
-
Nice work. Incidentally, you can unlock a third starting card slot by reaching the alternate good ending (achieved by choosing Chimata's "discard all cards" card on stage 5 and then 1ccing). I'm not sure if I've actually tried UM easy, but normal is a healthy challenge.
-
Making slow progress on the UM Normal 1CC attempt. By swapping from Reimu to Sanae, I managed to not only get to Stage 5 but also to Megumu's 2nd spell. I probobly could have gotten further without a few silly deaths which lost me quite a lot of bombs. I really need to stop thinking "I got this" and learn to just bomb if I'm needing to think "I got this".
UM Normal feels like a huge step up from UM Easy still. Which is weird because from what I've *seen* of the higher difficulties they can't actually look that much harder than Normal.
-
I've only touched hard a few times, but lunatic is a pretty tough challenge in terms of pure bullet difficulty. I would put it on a similar level of difficulty to SA on that front, though with the card system it is much easier to 1cc in practice. Stage 4 isn't that bad on normal, but the general consensus seems to be that on lunatic it's one of the hardest stages in the series.
-
i honestly can't remember alot of them so i guess i'll start this list small and add stuff when i have something :fullpower: "significant" :fullpower:

IN Reimu and Yukari Score: 505993400 (C)
PCB SakuyaA Score: 31893041 (C)
EoSD Here I come.
-
I have normal 1ccs on every mainline game 1-12, except for SA
I've also started scoring on LLS and UFO; 57,535,070 and 310,388,020 respectively
-
No new achievements on the old games since my last post (further up), but I have the following in UM:
* Normal NMNB (with cards)
* Normal secret ending with all characters
* Extra clear with Reimu and Sanae
Next target will probably be to finish off my "missing" shot types in HSIFS and WB&WC. I would like to go back to MoF for that ever-elusive Lunatic 1cc, but after three years of not playing, that's a lot of rust to shake off.

Video: Dream Logical World - Easy Aya/Kosuzu 81,056,369,250 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ft0SLaDy28g)
It's been a long time since I was seriously scoring Touhou, but this reality-breaking themed fan game has brought me back into it. This took about a month of routing and attempts, but it was worth it-- I haven't seen any other runs even break the 60 billion mark*.
It's an extremely graze-heavy score system, and unforgiving with survival-- scoring revolves around extending Aspect Shifts (bomb-hypers) throughout the entire stage by grazing, and getting hit or bombing breaks the AS. Even after switching to Easy (I started on Normal, but Easy actually scores higher, as well as being more consistent), this was actually the first run where I didn't break any AS unintentionally.
A successful Aspect Shift gives a PIV bonus based on its duration^1.3 including any leftover time at the end of the stage (in practice, about 120-160 PIV per graze (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16KSsg4AEVIBOYyNA47txUpIdA8n4m30ZgbGydSuGKyY/) on Easy in stage 2+), and everything significant (spell bonuses, AS score bonuses, clear bonus) scales with PIV. Also, unlike the official games, DLW numbers are uncapped-- there's practically no limit to score, PIV, lives, or spell bonuses.
This run is with Aya/Kosuzu-- they're actually probably not the highest-scoring team, but I find them the most fun. Kosuzu starts out with a weak homing shot, but her Aspect Shift "Learning Curve" gives a trickle of permanent scaling as long as it's active, producing a very strong homing shot and full-screen PoC by stage 6. It also gives 1 graze per second, which isn't negligible at 120-160 PIV per graze.
*excluding the frame-perfect time stop glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xVF71-7nBE), which gives invincibility, desyncs replays, and generally breaks the game, producing scores of over 100 billion in stage 6 practice
-
Been doing 1cc Normal attempts of all the mainline games.
So far, EoSD, PCB, IN, MoF, and just today SA are all 1cc Normal. Pretty sure this is the first time I've 1cc'd SA, ever.
MoF: [attachment=2]
SA: [attachment=1]
SA is really, really hard. I finished off Utsuho with 0 lives, 2 power, and a deathbomb during her explosion sequence. wew

Continuing fan game scoring experiments with Book of Star Mythology - Normal MarisaB 17,040,969,610 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uG4BehblVlE). It's a close-range shooting system like TD, but with a huge penalty for dying like MoF; see the video description for more details.
This was supposed to be a short side goal between experimenting with other shot types in DLW, but it ended up taking 2 weeks.
-
Still haven't got my Lunatic 1cc, but Touhou Replay Showcase were asking for players to take part in a live event and while I felt too out of practice to give MoF Lunatic a go, I decided to submit UM Hard to see if I could get my first 1cc live, on a stream where I would only get a single attempt (but, of course, I could practise as much as I wanted in my own time).
And I did it. (http://replay.lunarcast.net/replay/th18_ud5955.rpy) Four official games cleared on Hard now, and a huge confidence boost. The run started to take a downward turn in the middle, but I held my nerves and captured Yin-Yang Suffocation, and that was when I felt pretty sure I was turning things around and could still make it. Got a ridiculous dodge just after st6 midboss by complete fluke, but I finished with 3 spare lives (could very nearly have been 5, just misjudged how much health Chimata's 2nd had left) so I don't have to feel that it was a lucky win.
