Title: how to get popular wih the rp threads?
Post by: Reimu6 on December 01, 2021, 02:13:21 PM
I have been posting in the party games category recently. How do people get so popular with the threads, but mine get like 3 views? are they simply attached to their current rp or what? also how can i increase my replies?

Running an RP is a big commitment and is quite difficult!  Especially if it's really long where you have to keep in mind all of the previous plot, some of which might've happened months ago.  As for popularity, a lot of it depends on the protagonist and other characters involved.  Characters who rank higher on popularity polls generally make for more popular protagonists.  Not to say there aren't exceptions of course.  Lastly the overall writing style affects it's appeal, longer initial posts with more worldbuilding generally do better.

The > signifies actions, things that happen in universe.  For out of character actions questions or notes // is used instead.

I'd believe there are some people that just keep their interest to whatever they're in. I know that sometimes poking into another rp might end up with them actually interested in it as well.

There's also continuation in a way. I only see a new face or two rarely, as it's normally the people that have participated in my games in the past playing a new one.

If you have everything on your side, like plot, how you'll handle choices, and other such down, then it's just waiting for people to take that chance.

Also, I don't think Rumia's is very nowadays. There's about 5 people that frequent it and it's games, but probably a few more rare faces.

That is it on the foundation ,on the side Parser / GM / SM (Story Master ) and the interactions with the (Usual Current or Rare New) Players /Potential Players".
For "Popularity" "Reimu6" I believe likely referring to the " overall viewers and readings count and total number of replies,  then the users" , the Relative Statistic  https://shrinemaiden.com/index.php?action=statswhich is(has become since the New Forum ) the Highest in Rumia's Party Game   , Previous Forum of " MotK V2" - "Maidens of the Kaledidoscope V2"
