I wasn't around for the old shrinemaiden forum. From what I can see in the archives, there was a lot of posts. How active was it really? was all the posts a graduate buildup over time, or was it just really active?

The old forum was a little more active than the current one, the post were indeed a gradual buildup over 10+ years.  This is the most active English speaking forum in the west!
