It's finally here isn't it? I don't know when it'll be out on Spotify, I think there was a time limit set on how much time has to pass before it's uploaded to YouTube because I've already seen a few videos de-listed.

Luckily I've got my own sources so I'll come back with my rating once I finish reading the story and properly evaluating the music. (God please let there be RenMerry)

I've recently found this Hifuu-style album known as Pursue the Truth. Could that be covered here?

> Inspect the pink bottle while awaiting an explanation.

> Take a moment to enjoy the sights, we might not get many 'moments' more to enjoy depending on how this goes...

>You bask in the scene for a moment. Just the atmosphere here feels good. You really wish that places like this were in Heaven. Though you just know that these beautiful gardens would just have peach trees instead, an annoying thought.

> "Alright"
> Head into shrine, but keep our eyes open, if we see anything suspicious, stop moving.

>You walk into the shrine, it's well-decorated considering its purpose. But a well-respected person lives here, so that's probably to be expected.
>>"I'm going into the other room to get our equipment, I'll only be a moment. Hopefully you two can keep each other company and not do anything strange."
>"I have no idea why she thinks we're going to break something or some other."
>"Anywho, welcome to my abode! A comfy place, is it not? Before you answer that, I have something to give you."

>Yuyuko moves over to a table and pulls a pink glass bottle with a small nozzle, then walks over and pushes it into your hands.

Youmu:

> "...I can imagine, yes."

Myon:

> Do we have a phantom ribbon on our phantom wrist?
> You make sure you don't have one on your phantom half. Good.
> You do worry about what this will do to you... will you start attacking people out of nowhere? Will your hand move on its own?
> ... Nothing bad seems to be happening yet, at least.
> "So it's magic, or cursed, for sure." Marisa says.
> "Do you feel anything?" Alice asks.
> "Hm... what's all this about a ribbon, again?" Aya questions. "It looks like another devious thing that amanajaku would have in her repitore.
> Aside from Yuyuko and Yukari, now chatting about your cooking skills compared to Ran's and Chen's, everyone else pauses in consideration.
> "Wait, did I hit the spot? Ah, I accidentally solved it too quick, huh~☆" Aya gives a pseudo sigh.
> "No one ever figured out where she got those from though, right?" Marisa questions. "And they were usually sorta related to how they look. This one just looks like a miscolored ribbon. It could be something of Hina's for all we know..."
> "I'd say we could just ask Seija, but..." Miko looks aside.

> You fire of some attacks at the fairies, watching them explode or go crashing into the ground or one another from the hit. They're really weak. But at least you're someone who can tinker your damage enough to not just obliterate them.
> "Perhaps we should provoke that ice fairy into a fight?" Your other half questions, next to you. "We could even give her an advantage and see how that improves or hinders her performance when still outmatched."

Tentative ranking after a lot of listening last night and today. I'm separating the originals and arranges because otherwise I honestly don't know how I'd rank them.

Arranges:
  • Yorimashi Sits Between Dreams and Reality ~ Necro-fantasia: I don't know why but that new intro was jaw-dropping, even though it was a relatively simple rearrangement. How did he make a top tier track even better?
  • Crazy Backup Dancers: The new coda is amazing, and the whole track really gives off the "descending into madness" vibe even more than it did in-game.
  • Concealed Four Seasons: The way ZUN lays out the arpeggios into the final coda/key change is sublime, it's similar to the key change in RCS Illusionary White Traveler.
  • Smoking Dragon: The offbeat accent-hits on this one are amazing.
  • Does the Forbidden Door Lead to This World, or the World Beyond?: Pretty standard album arrange, not much to note.
  • Lamentations only Known by Jizo: The instrument change for the melody is interesting, but I think I like the original more.

Originals:
  • Mugen Noh ~ Taboo Marionette: Just amazing, has a bit of that HSiFS lategame creepiness, mixed in with GFC calmness, in a folk mood. Probably my number one in the entire album.
  • Tinkerbell of Inequality: Extremely troll track on first impression, but the percussion is starting to be addictive, lol.
  • Morning on Tanabata Hill: The hazy, is-this-fantasy-or-reality atmosphere comes across really well here.
  • Apparitions Abound even Outside of Night: Really feels like an ED theme, like I can imagine a game's credits scrolling while listening to this.
  • Lonesome Path in Hitachi: This needs some time to grow on me, but that ending is quite interesting.
